ELF Studio Eye Pigments Review and Swatches

ELF Studio Eye Pigments Review and Swatches

***DISCLAIMER*** These are all my pictures that I have taken from my own camera. I do not take anybody else's pictures.I am not sponsored doing this review. I bought all items using my own money and this is 100% my own opinion.

I made a huge, massive haul from Eyeslipsface.com last July 3 and I used the coupon code ECD2 to get 50% off studio line cosmetics. So instead of retailing for $3.00 USD each, I got a steal and purchased each one for $1.50. I believe I have all the colors that are available on ELF's Studio Pigment Line. At first, I wasn't too thrilled with these eyeshadows because I had purchased the ELF Studio Matte eyeshadows the same time I purchased these, and I had initially opened that one first. I will have a review and a video coming up soon, but for the meantime, let me just say it was a BIG disappointment. Anyway, as soon as I opened these shadows, I was thinking that this would be similar to the matte shadows, that was a BLAH...but I was wrong!!! These shadows deserve a much needed praise. Let's get into depth on the review.

Packaging:

These eyeshadows come in a plastic container with a screw top black, plastic lid. It approximately has 0.05 oz or 1.5 g in it. The container is about a 1 inch by 1 inch cube. It honestly looks pretty bulky to me. Other than that, my lids all screw perfectly shut. It comes with a brush that is basically useless.

 Color Payoff:

The pigments are amazingly vibrant and super pigmented. No joke it is called eyeshadow PIGMENTS! The colors are AMAZING! It only took me a light touch on the powder and swiped it in my hand, and the colors were just tremendously vibrant and so pretty. My most fave one is called Innocent Ivory as it is a duo-toned shadow. When the light hits it, it will show a lovely pearlescent color with a hint of pink. It is just absolutely marvelous.

Texture:

I want to cheat and say that I love this texture as a whole, but I feel like this is just too blotchy at times. I wished that it would just be a much finer milled product that it will just glide smoothly, but sadly, it is not. It will blend, however, it creates a MASSIVE amount of fallouts, I repeat, a MASSIVE amount!!! It somewhat does feel powdery, and somewhat silky, but don't expect it to feel like the Bare Minerals eyeshadows, because it will not.

Smell:

I didn't smell anything weird or funky with this product.

Staying Power:

These eyeshadows will crease it you do not put an eye primer so just warning you. It you do have a primer, it lasts about 3-5 hours on my lid. If you use the Lock and Seal, then it may last you a little bit longer.

The Bottomline:

I feel that these are one of my BEST purchases from ELF cosmetics of all time second to my ELF Studio Blushes. I was just amazed on the pigmentation of these products, and Innocent Ivory alone has my vote, hands down as one of my best eyeshadows of my collection. I recommend these products hightly. My pictures do not do justice to how pretty these shadows are. You just have to try it out for yourself. Make sure you do your eyes first before doing your whole face when using these shadows as there will be a huge mess, and fallouts all over the place. Make sure you also place a mat underneath before opening these as it is very messy and will get into everything.

My Rating:

I am going to given these shadows a 4/5. Love the pigmentation and color payoff, but hate the fallouts.
